Pictures from Althorp - a tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales
The Althorp Estate was built in 1508, and has remained in the Spencer family for 19 generations. Since 1992 the Estate has been operated by Diana’s younger brother Charles, the ninth Earl Spencer.
Following her tragic death on the 31st of August, Diana, Princess of Wales was laid to rest on a small island that lies in the middle of The Oval Lake on the 6th of September 1997.
There is a small temple for Diana for visitors to pay their respects. It contains a black silhouette of Diana set in white marble. A tablet can be found on either side of the temple. One displays the concluding tribute given by Charles at Diana’s funeral in Westminster Abbey.

Princess Diana was absolutely Gorgeous inside as well as outside. This Amazing woman should Still be here with us! What wonders she could have done for this sad world that we live in now. She made such a difference in the world in just the short time that she lived. I will Never forget her beauty, her laugh, her funny and sweet personality but most of all her ❤️. Even when her world was cashing down, she still found time to make ordinary people smile! Thank You Lord for sharing your Angel with us. Rest In Peace Beautiful Princess. I literally mourned and wore dark sunglasses for 2 weeks when Diana died.....and i still miss her terribly. I live in Australia i never met her but i loved Diana like a true friend. Thankyou Charles. RIP Diana 🌹🙏

In 1997 I was working as a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital Darlinghurst and I signed a card with other nurses on the Ward I was working on in the Hospice. That year the Princess of Wales, the Princess Diana, visited St. Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, Australia. This is the first time I'd seen such a thought provoking and loving tribute from a caring and responsible brother as the Earl of Spencer. So precious.
I had no idea the Spencer's had such huge estates

@@catherinethemba money can’t buy happiness but it sure makes life a lot more convenient. Idk why people don’t feel bad for single moms who struggle to make ends meet in Britain during this cost of living crisis. They struggle a lot more every day than Diana did in a lifetime.
@@catherinethemba princess Diana chose to marry Charles, unlike her sister, Sarah Spencer, who married a man with no title and not much. It was her choice to get this life. She too could have married a man with no title and wealth. But that is not what she wanted.
